Some of our keen bakers were happy to help make apple pies this morning ready for tea time. We had been donated some Bramley cooking apples and Edith, Peggy and Clarice all helped to peel and core and chop up the apples ready for stewing. Lilian helped mix in the fat for a gluten free pie and Edith helped with the mixing and rolling out for the other pie. Great fun and a time to reminisce about our past baking days.
