We had a record number of friends and relatives turn out for our annual Mother’s Day event. We had tea and coffee served in china cups and saucers, plus lots of lovely cakes.
We enjoyed doing the Mother’s Day quiz. Jos and Philippa won, their prize a bouquet of tulips. Susan Palmer and Julie Warne were the runners up, who shared a box of Ferrero Roche. We listened to 50’s music and gave the families a chance to talk to each other and give cards and gifts to their mothers. Thank you to everyone who brought cakes to share, whether bought or baked, they were well appreciated! Thank you to Betty who manned the cakes table, and to Julie who helped Vicky serve hot drinks. A massive thank you to Kristian, Vicky’s son, who was a massive help and support! It was a lovely afternoon for everyone.
