This afternoon Paul Barrie came to sing for us, and help us to celebrate Deborah Ball’s 87th birthday. We had a party in the conservatory. We had lots of singing, dancing, clapping, tapping of toes and chair boogying, going on. We sang happy birthday to Deborah and presented her with the cake that Kirsty had baked and decorated for her, wearing the birthday cake hat. Paul was like a stand-up comedian, making both residents and staff giggle. One of our oldest residents was flirting with him, and asking to go home with him. But in all seriousness, it was such an enjoyable afternoon. We can’t wait to have him back!
