Happy New Year from all of the staff and residents at Hallamshire Care Home. This morning Vicky got out the suitcase of dress up accessories, such as head dresses, hats and scarves. Vicky went around and said Happy New year to each resident and explained that we are now in the year 2021. She asked if she could take a picture with the HNY headband on to show our families and wish them a happy new year. (Not everyone wanted to join in, but a fair few did) Vicky then asked if we would like to have some dress up fun and do some posing. We had a lot of fun with this. One of the resident’s was trying to buy the items from Vicky and was disappointed to find out that the items were not for sale. We ended with refreshments and listening to New Year’s Day Jazz on YouTube.
