Residents, families, friends and staff enjoyed a wonderful Garden Party this afternoon. The rain held off and it ended up warm and sunny. Adele and Peter from Cycling Without Age came for an hour at the start of the event to talk to relatives and residents and offered a few taster rides in the local area. This was very well received. J J Galway came to entertain us with some lively Irish tunes. Some of us danced and we all enjoyed his repertoire. We had an excellent turn out with some needing to sit on blankets on the grass. Joanna (Activities), Richard (John) and Gill (Clarice) won the raffle prizes. We all enjoyed an excellent buffet together. Many thanks to all those who bought raffle tickets, gave prizes and spent money on the tombola and bric a brac stall. We raised upwards of £170 for Cycling Without Age and thoroughly enjoyed a great time together. A big thank you to CBC hire for the loan of the gazebos.
