Marion’s 90th birthday party

Today is Marion’s 90th birthday and we had a party planned for this afternoon. As it was pouring down before the party the singer was rescheduled for next week and instead we put some 1950s Rock n roll party music on and invited residents to have a dance or a chair dance or just to clap along. The music went down really well and woke a few people up and most people enjoyed joining in, in some way. Helen found it hard to keep up with the residents vigorous dancing! Typically the rain stopped and the sun came out after we had cancelled the singer. We ended by singing Happy Birthday to Marion, with the yummy came that Kirsty had made. She was really surprised and delighted with her 90th birthday cake and home-made card.
