This afternoon Helen went around the residents asking who would like to cuddle the mechanical cats and nearly every resident chose to do this and were delighted with them. The cats purr, miaow and move and many of the residents who can’t participate fully in other activities clearly really enjoyed this and loved holding and grooming the cats and talking to them. They really did have a calming therapeutic effect on everyone. Afterwards we found a film with a feline theme to watch.
