Today Helen brought in some bits that she has collected such as feathers, cones and old birds egg shells that she had found. Many of us had a good look and enjoyed feeling the feathers and discussing the birds. We also looked at a beautiful old Ladybird book of birds with lovely illustrations and it prompted a few conversations about old Ladybird books. Jenny enjoyed picking daisies and we had a go at making daisy chains but decided that none of us had good enough eye sight to be able to do it any more! We hope to hold more regular nature sessions to help reminisce about childhoods spent outdoors.
