Rather than buying birthday cards we decided to try making our own using pictures cut out of nature and gardening magazines. Nicole, Pam C, and Norah chose to make quite a few cards and Margaret S, Olga and Mary helped a little bit too. A few people didn’t want to join in but enjoyed sitting watching us being creative. People enjoyed selecting their pictures and gluing always seems to be a popular activity. Anyone with an up and coming birthday might receive one of the lovely home made cards.
