Crich Tramway village – 13th August 2019

We had a lovely day out to Crich Tramway Village. We had a lovely volunteer driver called Dave. On the minibus we had Vicky, Krystal, Peter, Mary, Roy and Sydney.  We met Mary’s daughter Julie there and our friends Ruth, Peter, Peggy and Krystal’s husband John. We started with a ride on a German tram that has been converted to become wheelchair accessible.  We saw lots of old Sheffield trams, including a Millhouses’ one. We were all given an old penny to pay the conductor and each received a ticket. We had a look at the old stationery trams that were in storage shelters. We had a look around the exhibit. We just made it to the tea rooms to have our picnic lunch in time as it started raining fast.  We enjoyed a picnic lunch made by Becky.  After lunch we looked around the gallery and gift shop. Vicky bought some tram colouring sheets for 50p to use with the residents as a reminiscence activity. It was a very enjoyable and interesting place to visit
