This year’s SYDCAE exhibition was held at Meadowhall Interchange and not the Cathedral, as in previous years. This was a perfect opportunity to travel by tram and we were very impressed with Nicole’s walking capacity as she walked a long way today without any complaints at all. Marion Peck and Margaret Seal enjoyed travelling in their wheelchairs though did feel a little guilty at times when it was particularly hilly. We met David Reid there, the organiser, and he interviewed us, asking us for our comments. It was great to see our own poppy display that Jo had created so beautifully, with the help of staff, residents and relatives – a real joint effort. All the other exhibits were of top quality too.
