We had a lovely time together in our Little acorn’s toddler session. We had our regular visitor Peggy, join us and her Granddaughter Krystal volunteered to help. The residents who joined in were, Margaret Saunders, Margaret Stockbridge, Margaret Pashley, Olga, Tricia, Elsie, Nellie, and Mary. We had three adults and three children attend. We started with free play, to give people a chance to arrive and then Vicky handed out musical instruments and lead us in a song session, where children and residents could take it in turns at choosing a song. Vicky organised a valentine’s theme craft session and set out the playdough so that we could have some messy play. Tracy chopped up some pineapple, melon and strawberries for us to have at snack time which was delicious. We had two stories, one read by Tricia and one read by Margaret Sounder’s daughter Jane. We ended with musical statues, which Elsie and Olga joined in with. We are looking forward to the next one on the 25th February when Pyjama Drama will be visiting.
