Valerie Loft, Marion Peck and Elsie all had a very peaceful time at the St Mark’s Candlemass service today. We were made to feel very welcome and found the informal service extremely rewarding, with many children taking part, a fabulous performance from the choir (with the special addition of a double bass and three flutes) and the lighting of the candles. We stayed behind for coffee and friendly chats. Marion had a special time looking at Mary’s family photos on her phone (a dear friend of many years) and reminiscing about good times they shared together.
