Remembrance Sunday Service

Everyone invited to help us remember our loved ones, who fought so bravely in the wars, for a short service from 2.30pm. Followed by refreshments and a time to chat and reminisce.

Caroline Cook has now established her Gardening Club which will take place in the conservatory (with ready access to the garden) once a month from 3 - 4pm. Everyone welcome to come and join in.

Crucible Tea Dance

Live performance at the Crucible for this Superjam teadance. Leave around 12 noon and have picnic lunch there before it starts at 1.30pm. Only have 6 free tickets for this event so limited availability.

Irish Tea Dance

We will be taking a small group along to this Irish lunch/dance event with live music at the Philadelphia Club. Relatives/friends are welcome to come and join us or help with lifts.

Holy Communion

Volunteers from St Marks Church are visiting to give residents a short Holy Communion Service in the conservatory. Also involves singing a few songs/hymns which everyone enjoys very much. All friends and family members are welcome to come along. Followed by light refreshments.

A trip out to town with Vicky and hopefully some volunteers to experience the Moor Christmas party and lights switch on (The whole event is on 10:30-5:30 but we will probably go after lunch)

We have decided to incorporate a "Pamper Day" with our hairdresser visit. This has proved very successful so far, with many of our ladies enjoying having a makeover and wearing a pretty scarf for their photo shoot. Even the chaps like to wear a posh tie and cap.

Manicures

The activities coordinators will go around each resident, asking their permission to wash their hands and nails, clean under , trim and file nails. Also the resident will have the option to have nails painted, hand cream applied and a hand massage
