Godly Play
Tracy will be telling a "story for the soul" from 2.30pm, aimed at Christians and non-Christians alike. This involves a guitar sing-a-long, a Bible story, told in a simple and engaging manner, and finally a time for reflection and a "Feast" time with light refreshments. All welcome to join in and help support this event.

Caroline Cook has now established her Gardening Club which will take place in the conservatory (with ready access to the garden) once a month from 3 - 4pm. Everyone welcome to come and join in.

Yo will be continuing with this popular singing and movement event once a month on a Tuesday afternoon and this will last for one hour with refreshments afterwards.

Jennifer and Frances from St Marks Church are visiting to give out residents a short Holy Communion Service in the conservatory (usually on the third Wednesday of the month but please check on-line events diary for any changes to this). All friends and family members are welcome to come along.

We will now be alternating the Memory Cafe between the Jesus Centre and the Hallamshire Care Home. Same format as before but ending with lunch at 1pm and games and carol singing from 11.30am. All welcome to come and join us.

Motion – 19.03.2021
This afternoon we had an energising Motion session led by Zeezy, Using the Portal Tv. We also had all staff joining in and helping ? We did some chair exercises and action songs, used Cheer leading pom poms, resistance bands, pool noodles and balloons and we finished the exercises with the giant parachute. We did a lot of giggling today. The star of the week was Penny! We all enjoyed a well-deserved cold drink at the end!

This morning Helen brought out our big suitcase of scarves, hats and other accessories in the upstairs lounge. Many of us love having a rummage around to see what we can find that we like, and enjoy trying different things on for fun. If we were struggling, Helen helped us to chose something that suited us. We enjoyed looking at ourselves in the mirror. Our supplies have become a bit depleted, so we need to visit a few Charity shops…

This afternoon we had some lovely weather therefore we decided to take some walks in the garden and do a bit of sunbathing. Not everyone was in the mood to go out for a walk this evening. This morning we had in plan to play some games but most of us were very sleepy and wanted to have a nap after breakfast. So, we decided to take the therapy cats out and spend a bit of one-to-one time with everyone who wished. Jenny, Valerie and Susan were really happy to hold and pet the cats.
