Exercise is a very important part of life. Some love to stay seated and do chair aerobics, others like to "sit-dance" a few like to get up and boogie! For others a short walk to a local park or the shops is very beneficial.

Church outing to the Jesus Centre
Jesus Centre, Broomhall Jesus Centre, BroomhallOuting in car or walking to the Jesus Centre for hot drinks/biscuits in the cafe and then into the meeting area from 11am to Sunday Morning worship, songs, bread and wine and sermon.
Norfolk Park Fair
Vicky is taking a small group of residents along to this Fair on Bank Holiday Monday. Leaving at 10.30am and be back in time for lunch. All friends and family welcome to offer lifts/accompany us.
Pamper Day
We have decided to incorporate a "Pamper Day" with our hairdresser visit. This has proved very successful so far, with many of our ladies enjoying having a makeover and wearing a pretty scarf for their photo shoot. Even the chaps like to wear a posh tie and cap.

Gardening with Caroline
Caroline Cook has now established her Gardening Club which will take place in the downstairs lounge (with ready access to the garden) once a month from 1.30 - 3pm. Everyone welcome to come and join in.

Gina has been coming to the Hallamshire for many years and is skilled in massage therapy and Reiki healing.
Karaoke or Guitar singalong

Manicure/hand massage
Manicures and hand massages are offered to any willing residents on a weekly basis. This can have a very calming effect and the perfect excuse for a good natter.

Never Grow Up Fundraising Event
This will be held at Wadsley Parish Church, Worral Road, S6 4BB in support of Children's Hospital Charity. All invited but registration is required so please let Scott or Tracy know if you intend to come along. Poster with details in foyer.

Little Acorns toddler group are visiting in cojunction with a mobile minizoo which should be great fun for one and all.

Dementia Friendly Matinee Screening
The Winding Wheel in Chesterfield have matinee screenings suitable for our residents. Tickets cost £3 and this includes tea and cake. A group of us will be travelling in SCT minibus at 10.30am to Endcliffe Park to begin our Memory Walk.This will be a fundraising event in aid of the Alzheimer's Society so please get sponsored. Jesus Centre Tea Dance
We are holding a new Tea Dance at the Jesus Centre on Brunswick Street, Which is open to the community, our supporting toddler group and three local care homes. The price will be £3 per adult. The cafe will remain open if people would like to stay for lunch.

This event will be held at Farm Road Club, S2 2TP. There will be a cold buffet provided at this free event. We have 6 tickets so 4 residents can go along. First come first served. Paul Barrie will be singing with Bollywood dancing. Other care homes will be attended this social event.
