her daughter Julie, Betty our volunteer, Vicky and Elsie. We started off with a picnic lunch that Vicky had made. Betty brought some apple juice and strawberries for us to share and enjoy, which was very thoughtful! The singer this week was Russ Elliot which is one of our favourite entertainers! Russ strays from the wartime songs and mixes things up a bit for variety and is very good with the residents. Elsie took a particular shine to Russ and kept dancing with him and giving him hugs. We Had hot drinks and cream scones in the interval. Towards the end our friend Alex who is a carer from another care home sang a Doris Day song and she had such a beautiful voice!
