We had a fantastic trip out to the Showroom Cinema to the Dementia friendly screening of Singing in the rain. The attendees were Anne and Sidney, who went in a taxi with Vicky, Margaret Stocksbridge and Peggy, who went in a taxi with Betty, Valerie, who went in the car with her daughter in law Yo, and Jo joined us after her training. We enjoyed some chocolates that Betty had brought for us to share. We thoroughly enjoyed the film and sang along to the songs that we knew. There was lots of giggling and even a few tears shed at the end! We enjoyed a picnic lunch that Vicky had made and hot drinks and biscuits, provided by the Showroom. The film was very apt as it was pouring down with rain today! Our residents are still talking about how much they enjoyed and are expressing gratitude for taking them!
