Bert asked if he could go out for a walk. Staff obliged and we had a little adventure, walking up a driveway across the road from the care home where we found some offices and one of the oldest houses in Sheffield tucked away around the back of the offices. We researched this and found it to be the remains of Broom Hall with a wonderful timber frame dating back to 1498. We also admired the wonderful old trees in the grounds.
