Residents were delighted to have our first Intergenerationals group this morning in the Green Lounge. We were very pleased to welcome 7 young children from the Hallam University Nursery along with three staff – Tracy, Nat and Amanda. We sang nursery rhymes together, doing actions and waving poms poms together. Some residents were happy to chat with the children and talk about their past history. We had a brief snack time then used the Interactive Tablet and did some action songs playing musical instruments. The residents and children got along really well and all appeared happy and relaxed and there was some very positive feedback from the residents afterwards. Can’t wait for our next visit!
