We had a glorious Summer Fair experience in the garden on a gorgeous, hot summers day. We were very happy to see so many friends and family members coming along to support out event. We are particularly grateful to all our hard working volunteers – Zeezy (from Motion), Karen, Jan, Krystal and Ruth. And also a huge thank you to CBC Hire for the loan of the gazebos, bouncy castle, hook a duck and coconut shy games. Couldn’t have done it without the support of all our friends and family members who came along, bought raffle/tombola tickets, baked cakes, spent money on the stalls, etc. We raised over £200 for the activity fund. We had seven raffle prizes won by Fergus (Monica), Isobel (Monica), Lydia (Sheila), Rachel (Christine), Karen/Jan (Clarice), Helen (Elisabeth) and Ruth (Peggy). Good to have The Yorkshire Tea Bag skiffle band entertaining us and to have the Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Sioned-Mair Richards, pay us a visit and chat to folk and give a short speech. We ended the afternoon with a lovely BBQ. Great for everyone to socialise and get to know each other.
