Respite and Day Care Services – Hallamshire Care Home

Special events at Hallamshire are special

indeed when celebrated together. Birthdays, Christmas, Easter, Halloween and Bonfire night are all marked with joyful festivities, whilst garden

parties, barbeques and theme days are planned regularly to enhance the cheerful atmosphere.

Clergy visits are arranged at Hallamshire and residents can be taken to other religious services

if they wish. Trips are organised outside the home to places of interest with arranged transport and for those able to use it, public transport is easily

accessible. Broomhill Methodist Church host regular ‘coffee mornings’ with various forms of entertainment which many of our residents attend and enjoy. Tea, coffee and cake are also served on alternate Tuesday mornings at the ‘Fantastic Diamond

Club’ in a hall around the corner, where residents

love to sing to the accompaniment of a pianist

and participate in a quiz or game.

We are pleased to anounce that we now have a dedicated Respite Bed here at Hallamshire and are able to offer a Day Care Service to enable people to try the Care Home prior to moving in:

Day Care Service:

Due to popular demand, we are now able to offer an extremely flexiable Day Service so that people can come to the Hallamshire for an hour, an afternoon or a whole day to “try” the Home out and see how they feel about Residential Care. People can get to know staff and take part in all the activities and entertainment that is on offer. There are no set hours for this and we can work around family commitments and timings and incorporate differnent aspects of Care as well to meet indivuals needs while they are here. Please contact the Scott or one of the Senior staff to discuss this in more detail.

Respite Service:

Our respite service is bookable up to 4 months in advance and enables people to move into the Hallamshire as on a short term basis to either try the Home out or to give Carer/family members a much needed break. Our respite room is bright, sunny and provides a great opportunity to really “sample life” at Hallamshire. Our respite Service is £625 a week which includes all food, personal care, laundry, trips and excursions. Please contact the Home to discuss availablity and options.
