Today is the start of Chinese New Year. This morning Vicky put up some decorations around the home, including the bedroom door of Ming Sam (Zuandi). We watched a Chinese New Year parade on Tv, looked at the dragon puppet, Vicky did a little dance with it, which made Edith and Peggy laugh. We did some Word searches, quizzes and Crosswords together. Vicky came around with some fortune scratch cards and did them with the residents, as a bit of fun. Every resident received a coin in a red envelope, which is a Chinese tradition also. The staff also received a red pouch and coin each. We read some information about Chinese New Year and some riddles. Colouring was also an option.
