This morning we watched some of the Remembrance day service on television and marked the two minute silence as much as possible before having our own Remembrance day poems and prayers kindly provided for us by the local vicar Jennifer Hurrel. Susan and Penny read poems for us although some people preferred to read the poems for themselves and reflect on them. We remembered the loved ones that some residents told us they had lost in the war. Afterwards we watched a video of wartime classics which some of us enjoyed singing along to.
