Helen asked residents if they would like to write a letter or send a message to their loved ones and people chose what they wanted to do. Pam and Olga wrote their own long letters whilst Nicole dictated to Helen and wrote with a little bit of help. John started his letter but saved it to finish later and others including Roy and Susan chose to send a message written on a board. Others declined the offer because they were either too sleepy or busy enjoying The Great Escape which was on television.
