This afternoon Annie helped us to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of V.E Day by singing some good old war time songs to us out in our garden. We all had a sing along and a chair dance. A few of us got up for a boogie. The staff were all great sports and had lots of fun with us. At 3pm we joined in the nationwide raise your glass (or water bottle in some cases) to toast the heroes of then and now. It was very moving. The weather went from cool to absolutely scorching within the space of an hour so we exchanged the coats and lap blankets for sun hats. No lockdown is stopping the fun at Hallamshire Care home!
