Today Helen and Tracy encouraged residents to sit in the window to do the Big Garden Bird Watch. Tracy filled the bird feeders outside and had hung the bird feeders made earlier by the gardening group. The group had a bird chart and binoculars and enjoyed looking at the garden and watching for the birds, although there weren’t very many today. They especially enjoyed watching a young squirrel that spent most of the morning underneath the bird feeders and came very close so that they could see. We had a chat about birds in general and reminiscing about past bird watching experiences, some looked at books and played bird snap.
