A few of our male residents enjoyed a sunny afternoon on the back decking for Gardening Club. Good to take advantage of a break from the rain and wind and actually manage to be outdoors this month. Our tomato plants, begonias, geraniums, etc. are doing extremely well having been recently planted outdoors and the cucumbers are growing happily in the greenhouse. The chaps enjoyed chatting together about their own gardens and what they enjoyed growing and some helped water the plants and looked at fact sheets. We enjoyed light refreshments and even got onto the subject of fishing, much to the joy of Peter (our newest resident) who was an expert fisherman in his time.
