In-house Church

Residents enjoyed a light-hearted church service this morning. Residents were given the opportunity to read out a verse from the famous hymn All Things Bright and Beautiful and Sheila read out the whole thing and we all applauded her. Then we sang the hymn together accompanied by the guitar. John read out Jesus Bids Us Shine and then we sang it together and we talked about our Sunday school memories of this song and others. We recited the Lord’s Prayer together. We thanked God for Peter (a new resident who has spent the last week with us and is settling in well) and for the safe arrival of Edith’s baby grand daughter. We talked about the upcoming events for July and residents passed round a July Planner to discuss with staff and each other. We enjoyed morning refreshments whilst watching some lovely YouTube clips of children playing instruments, singing and dancing in worship. Very heart warming. warming.
