This afternoon we celebrated V.E Day. We started with a lovely buffet lunch, made by Kirsty (which we were going to eat in the garden, but it was a bit nippy, until late afternoon). Then we filtered into the garden for a party. Thankfully the clouds went away and we had at least an hour of sunshine! Carole Laine Greenway Sang for us, in her military costume. She did a wonderful array of wartime songs. We wore union Jack hats, and waved flags. We all had a dance, whether in our seats, or on our feet. We enjoyed cupcakes and orange squash afterwards. What a lovely afternoon, it turned out to be.
