We had an enjoyable morning in the lounge, making a chocolate birthday cake. A small group chose to sit round a table together reminiscing about past baking days and whisking and mixing the cake batter. What a wonderful chocolatey smell! In the afternoon, we decorated the cake in the Conservatory. Residents were invited to help but only Edith wanted to participate, the rest simply happy to watch and learn. We were all very happy with the result.
