For the nature group today we had another look at birds. Keith and Stephen chose to play the lovely match the birds game, pairing up males and females and Helen went around everyone else with the birdsong book, letting us choose which birds we wanted to listen to. All of us loved this and listening to nostalgic sounds like the blackbird. The great thing about the books is that even those hard of hearing like Olga and Pam could hear and identify cuckoos and owls by the sound and hear the other birdsongs. Olga recited a blackbird poem for us. Some of us enjoyed watching a relaxing wildlife video this morning and at teatime we enjoyed watching the grey squirrels in the garden.
