This afternoon, we had a zoom gardening club with Caroline. We have missed her very much, so it was lovely to be able to see her “face to face”. We had a few technical hitches with the sound, in that we could hear her, but she couldn’t hear us, so we had to keep her on Vicky’s phone on loud speaker but we managed! We will try and figure this out for future Zoom calls. We looked at flowers and leaves that Vicky picked from the Hallamshire garden, some conkers, acorns and beach nut cases that Caroline had sent, and had lots of discussions. We talked about blackberry picking, baking, conker fights, which we realised were mostly amongst the boys in their day. We did some colouring and read a beautiful poem together. Caroline showed us how to make a beautiful centrepiece out of autumn flowers. We ended with a cup of tea. We hope that this can be a regular thing in the future.
