Helen decided that everyone needed livening up a bit, so we got the song sheets out and sang a mixture of songs from wartime favourites, to old classics and silly songs, so that there was something to suit everyone’s taste. Quite a few people enjoyed a good sing, although not always at the same time and some people preferred a chair dance or just to listen. Afterwards we watched some old TV singers such as Val Doonican, which went down well and Helen visited those residents who were in their rooms and they all enjoyed a good sing or a chair dance too.
