This morning Vicky went aproached the residents and explained the reason that we aren’t allowing visitors at the moment is because there is a lot of sickness going around. I asked each resident what message they want to tell their friends and family. If the resident was able to communicate their message to me, I wrote it on a sheet of A4 paper and took a photo of them holding it up. If the resident wasn’t able to or couldn’t think of anything, I just took a photo of them with a painted rainbow. For the sake of dignity, we don’t take photographs of people in bed, so anyone in bed that was able, or anyone that didn’t want their photo taking, I just photographed the message. A few of the residents expressed their gratitude and said it was a lovely idea.
