We had another superb Valentines Party this year with lots of family members coming dressed up and gorgeous. Helen spent all day pampering our residents so they felt special and in the mood for a party. Vicky transformed the main lounge into an exquisite cafe with beautiful table and wall decorations. Very tasteful. We were pleased to have a few visitors there too, Roy and his family. We started the evening with 1950’s tunes on the record player, a cold buffet and dancing for all interested parties. We had lots of different competitions including a “Write a Valentines Poem” one. Great to have so many people take part in this, with Terry winning a box of chocolates for his amazing one about his Valentine, Margaret. Good to see a few wedding photos of our residents too. We had a karaoke session near the end, with Roy proving fabulous on the mic, especially his rendition of “My Way”. Everyone seemed to have an amazing time, especially Pam Crossland who was presented with an early birthday cake, which we were more than happy to share with her.
