We had a fantastic morning, celebrating Valerie Loft’s birthday. We had a Flamenco dancer called Barbara, perform for us, which was very enjoyable. We had Susan trying to copy the steps at one point. The residents were smiling, clapping and swaying to the music. They definitely enjoyed the event. Afterwards we sang Happy Birthday to Valerie. We shared around pieces of the lovely chocolate cake that Tracy made and some even had a glass of sherry, thanks to Yo, who brought in a couple of bottles. Valerie and her family ended with helping Valerie to open her cards and gifts in the quiet lounge.
