Helen asked Tricia if she would like to go to this event with Cycling Without Age on their rickshaw bike. Tricia was very enthusiastic about this, as she used to be a cyclist. Susan, our pilot, took us down Ecclesall road into town and around some of the streets and pedestrian areas near the Peace Gardens and the Crucible. We even went through the Winter Gardens on our bike! Helen pointed out all the landmarks in the city and enjoyed looking at everything especially the cyclists of all ages, everywhere, who had taken over the streets and roundabouts which were closed to cars. People waved at us and we waved back and felt like royalty! Susan then took us to the main event in Endcliffe Park and gave us a quick ride around all the stalls. Tricia had a big smile on her face, the whole time. Tricia expressed that she had thoroughly enjoyed the experience and that it was very interested.
