Crucible Tea Dance – 9th July 2019

We had a lovely trip out to the Crucible Tea Dance today with Vicky and Betty. We took Margaret Pashley, Nicole and Susan. We enjoyed a picnic lunch when we arrived. Betty brought us some fresh strawberries which were delicious. Susan St Nicholas and her son James both sang for us today which was nice. Susan did lots of socialising with other visitors and we chatted with a few of the regulars. One gentleman who is almost 90 said he didn’t have a dance partner so Susan had a dance with him. There was a group of children there when we arrived and Susan greeted them and said they could call her Aunty Susan. We enjoyed jam and cream scones in the interval. Nicole’s son Mark came to spend a bit of time with her and they had a dance together which was precious. Looking forward to the next one in a moth’s time.
