Tracy took Margaret Saunders and Elsie in taxi today to Stephen Hill Church. They enjoyed the journey and were reminiscing about the neighbourhood in the taxi. We met Margaret’s husband, Terry, there and they had a chat to old friends before the service started. It was a joint Holy Communion service, with the St Columbus congregation so there was about 60 people there altogether. We enjoyed singing hymns and listening to the prayers and sermon. Good to hear a saxophone, flute and piano being played so beautifully. We stayed for coffee at the end and were very pleased with the warmth welcome we received and hope to go again next month.
