Our toddler group Christmas party was very enjoyable! Children, parents, staff and residents all seemed to enjoy the morning! We started off with a craft time, led by Jo, which was making handprint calendars to take home. We had a Nativity puppet show and sang ‘Twinkle, twinkle’ and Away in a manger in the interval. Afterwards the puppeteers took a bow and went around letting everyone have a look at and feel the puppets. Vicky got all the children to sit in a circle and played pass the parcel, which was fun and everyone who participated got a bag of white chocolate buttons afterwards. The children stayed sitting in a circle to sing jingle bells and Santa and his dancing present came in! Santa sat in a chair and handed out gifts, (which were age appropriate books) with Vicky’s help. We had lots of smiles. We thanked Santa and waved him off until next year. Snack time came next, which was very festive. We had gingerbread, satsumas, mince pies, cookies, cake bites, crisps and juice. We ended by pulling Christmas crackers together. ‘Merry Christmas one and all!’
