We enjoyed the monthly trip to the Crucible Tea Dance with Vicky and Jo. Jill, Marion’s daughter met us there, which was nice. We were entertained by Rebekah Austin. Rebekah has been to the home to sing for us before, so it was nice to see her again, this time she brought along her 8-month-old son Caleb, which the residents and other guests enjoyed. Her repertoire extends from classical, to the songs from theatre. Many of us recalling the words and singing along. The Crucible allows us to meet up with friends and a chance to make new friends. Susan did her tour of the tables chatting to others as she went. We had the chance to speak to others about our new initiative a successful ‘Tea Dance’ and promote forthcoming events. The afternoon concluded with a Cream Tea – yummy scone and jam with clotted cream!
