Vicky and Megan took a group of residents and family members, via minibus, to the Pomegranate Theatre in Chesterfield to a dementia friendly screening of ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ in colour.
Richard, the minibus driver, was wonderful and helped as a carer. We had a picnic lunch in the foyer when we arrived. We had the pleasure of Jill, Julie and Jean being with us again as one-to-one support. In the interval we had hot drinks and mince pies and sang Christmas Carols together. We also did a Christmas related quiz which both our groups won, AGAIN! The prizes were a box of Christmas crackers and a box of Cadbury’s luxury biscuits. We arrived back at the Home in time for tea. A great day out!
