We have decided to incorporate a "Pamper Day" with our hairdresser visit. This has proved very successful so far, with many of our ladies enjoying having a makeover and wearing a pretty scarf for their photo shoot. Even the chaps like to wear a posh tie and cap.
Weekly visit to Buzz on foot or by car for a pleasant social time playing games and chatting with free refreshments

The care home runs a Memory cafe event at the Parlour Cafe, Jesus Centre, usually once a fortnight. This time it will be at the care home.
Motion have asked us to do a repeat filming session as unfortunately the original file was corrupt and all the footage was lost. We will probably involve all the original volunteers and family members are more than welcome to join us and be interviewed if they so wish.
Mark has arranged a lovely birthday surprise for Nicole in the small lounge from 4pm. A special time with party food, birthday cake and a pianist.

Caroline Cook has now established her Gardening Club which will take place in the conservatory (with ready access to the garden) once a month. Everyone welcome to come and join in.
We will be holding our first working party meeting to launch our new "green" project, "Waste Not Want Not". Everyone is invited to this, including residents, staff, family members and representatives from other local care homes and community groups. To be held either in the small lounge or conservatory.

We will be taking a small group along to this Irish lunch/dance event with live music at the Philadelphia Club. Relatives/friends are welcome to come and join us or help with lifts.

Our Irish friend, J J Galway will be bringing along his keyboard to sing some of our favourite songs to help us celebrate Margaret's birthday with singing, dancing and birthday day. All welcome to come and join in the fun
We will now be alternating the Memory cafe between the Jesus Centre and the Hallamshire Care Home. Same format as before but ending with lunch at 1pm and games and guitar sing-a-long from 11,30am.
We have 6 places for this event and anyone is more than welcome to take along their family member to this free event which includes a cream tea and live entertainment. Doors open at 1pm with singing from 1.30pm and finishes around 2.45pm.
