We managed to squeeze in two tea dances at the Crucible this month (as there won’t be one in November). We took along our new resident, Ray, and he thoroughly enjoyed himself, especially having the opportunity to be amongst so many lovely ladies!
We all enjoyed singing along with the ever-popular Susan St Nicholas, who sang a wide range of songs from the 50’s and 60’s. Its amazing how so many of us were able to recall so many of the words from these much loved tunes. We made a “dancing circle” with Ray, plus his wheelchair. We call this “sit-dancing” and it’s very inclusive. It’s always good to meet up with family members/friends and appreciate having Jill, Rita, Peggy and Julie there again. Marion was a great sport and even tried on Ray’s cap for the “Londoner” songs. Great to have Joan join us this time. We try and encourage a few different folk to come along each time.
